Help ERA build a plant nursery!
ERA is building a plant nursery to give our cottonwood cuttings the best chance at survival. This restoration work will mitigate erosion, decrease flood intensity, and restore fish and wildlife habitat. We are asking our community to help us reach this goal.

What we’ll be doing:
We will be assembling planting boxes, filling them with soil, and putting cuttings in the planters. To learn more about the cottonwood restoration program click here.

What to bring:
Weather can change quickly, so please plan for inclement weather conditions.
- Sturdy boots/Gumboots
- Work Gloves
- Rain gear
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Water bottle
- Coffee cup (for coffee)
Morrissey Meadows
15 minutes drive south of Fernie. The entrance is to an old farm field. PLEASE WATCH FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN TURNING INTO THE SITE. After arriving, continue along the road past the old farmhouses until you reach the restoration crew.
