2000 LIVESTAKES BY MAY
This spring, ERA needs to collect 2000 cottonwood and willow livestakes to restore areas impacted by agriculture. This restoration work will mitigate erosion, decrease flood intensity, and restore fish and wildlife habitat. We are asking our community to help us reach this goal.

What we’ll be doing:
We will be collecting existing cottonwood and willow trees to revegetate degraded streamside habitat. To learn more about the cottonwood restoration program click here.

- 1:00 Break and BBQ
- 1:30 Collection
- 3:00 Home time
What to bring:
Please note that the site requires crossing a small beaver dam. Waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Weather can change quickly, so please plan for inclement weather conditions.
- Sturdy boots/Gumboots
- Work Gloves
- Rain gear
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Water bottle
- Coffee cup (for coffee)

15 minutes drive south of Fernie. PLEASE WATCH FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN TURNING INTO THE SITE.
